Damian Byrne Born in Dublin, Damian lived most of his life in the coastel suburb of Shankill, south Co Dublin. Asked on his work, he comments, i see my work as a celebration of Irish culture, colour and passion. Working with various media like bleach, coffee, fire, chalks and inks etc, he tries to convey a more organic and timeless look and to his work. He has studied in Ballyfermot College of Animation in Dublin, for three years and is currently exhibiting on Merrion Square every sunday and recently exhibited at the Dublin Docklands Festival. Some of his work can be viewed in restaurants and bars around the country. Damian's main influences are the Book of Kells, Jim Fitzpatrick, Aiden Meehan, Micheal Turner, Brian Fraud, Todd McFarlene, to name a few.
